Scott Compton is an intellectual property affiliate in Houston and his practice focuses on protecting patents, trademarks and copyrights. He has considerable experience in the realms of acquiring national and international patents and trademarks. Mr. Compton has been involved in all aspects of helping inventors to protect their inventions, having worked in a wide variety of industries that include, but are not limited to: drilling fluids and oil field technologies; seismic technologies; materials sciences, including nanomaterials, microencapsualtion, concrete and catalyst technologies; and protection of general mechanical devices. Mr. Compton has a research background, having worked on solvent replacement studies with the United States Air Force and Southwest Research Institute in San Antonio Texas.
